Window shutters
Sun protection factor: unlimited
Window shutters are commonly made of one of four materials: PVC, extruded aluminium and good old wood are widely used. The most durable and lightweight alternative however, is the fourth one: profiled aluminium, filled with rigid polyurethane foam, which plays an important role in the shutter’s overall performance.
As part of a sandwich structure, polyurethane provides the required rigidity and dimensional stability at minimum weight. With increased density, the thickness of the comparatively expensive and energy-consuming aluminium sheet can be further reduced, which in turn also helps to reduce the environmental impact of the window shutter. We offer an extensive product portfolio to cover market needs from standard production lines to special needs such as higher densities or different reaction profiles.
